Corey serves as the subject matter expert of digital accessibility and Ohio State’s Minimum Digital Accessibility Standards (MDAS) for the Digital Accessibility Center. He has spent his decade-plus career in higher education advocating strongly for accessibility, usability, and good design (in the Don Norman tradition).

His passion for accessibility stems from his experience living with a life-long eye movement disorder called infantile nystagmus that greatly affects vision, the musculoskeletal system, and interpersonal interaction. He hopes to raise awareness of assistive technologies (AT) and disability rights in the nystagmus community and advocate for the community in the accessibility space.

Corey holds a Bachelor of Science in Digital Sciences with a focus in Digital Systems Interaction from Kent State University and is certified as a Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
